This document applies when Jobpassin V2 is made publicly available and will be reviewed against the final production features before launch.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

Akan Global Consulting and Trade LTD, Registration Number 0120690470, Mailbox: 1321 Upland Dr. PMB 18901, Houston, Texas, 77043, US. is the controller of personal information processed through Jobpassin V2 unless a separate notice identifies another controller. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to support@jobpassin.com.

This Policy covers the Jobpassin website, candidate accounts, Employment Assessments, career-support services, communications, and related online features. A third-party service linked from Jobpassin is governed by its own privacy notice.

2. Information we collect

  • Identity and contact information, such as name, email address, telephone number, country, preferred destination, and account identifiers.
  • Career and application information, such as CV or resume data, employment history, education, skills, language ability, professional goals, supporting documents, and assessment answers.
  • Service and transaction information, such as the service selected, amount, currency, payment status, transaction reference, refund status, and billing contact details. Full payment-card credentials are handled by the payment processor and are not intended to be stored by Jobpassin.
  • Communications with support staff, account managers, consultants, and other representatives, including the content and history needed to answer or document a request.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, device and browser information, security logs, pages viewed, referral data, cookie choices, and approximate location derived from IP.
  • Marketing and preference information, including language, destination interests, communication choices, and records of consent or objection.

3. How information is collected

We collect information directly from you, automatically from your device, from payment and infrastructure providers, from consultants who support your requested service, and from sources you direct us to use. We may also receive publicly available professional information where lawful and relevant to a service you requested.

4. Why we use information

  • To create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and provide requested platform features.
  • To process an Employment Assessment, review submitted information, prepare a result, and assign relevant follow-up support.
  • To provide resume, consultation, destination-guidance, employer-view, and specialist-support services selected by the user.
  • To process payments, prevent fraud, maintain financial records, and administer cancellations or refunds.
  • To communicate about a request, service, account, transaction, security issue, or material policy change.
  • To operate, test, troubleshoot, protect, measure, and improve Jobpassin V2.
  • To comply with legal obligations, establish or defend legal claims, and enforce our Terms of Use.
  • To send marketing only where permitted by law and consistent with the user’s recorded choice. Every marketing message will provide an unsubscribe method.

5. Legal bases where applicable

  • Contract: processing necessary to create an account, deliver a purchased or requested service, communicate about it, and administer payment.
  • Consent: optional marketing, optional cookies, or another activity for which law requires affirmative permission. Consent may be withdrawn without affecting prior lawful processing.
  • Legitimate interests: securing and improving the service, preventing fraud, responding to non-contractual inquiries, and protecting legal rights, after balancing those interests against user rights.
  • Legal obligation: tax, accounting, law-enforcement, regulatory, consumer-protection, and data-protection requirements.

6. Assessment and automated processing

An Employment Assessment is informational and may use structured criteria to organize or evaluate information provided by the user. It is not a decision by a government, employer, immigration authority, or licensing body and does not guarantee employment, sponsorship, visa eligibility, or placement.

Before Jobpassin introduces solely automated decision-making that produces a legal or similarly significant effect, we will provide the notice and safeguards required by applicable law, including information about available human review where required.

7. When information is disclosed

  • Infrastructure, hosting, analytics, communications, customer-support, security, document-processing, and professional service providers acting under appropriate instructions.
  • Payment processors and financial institutions needed to authorize, settle, refund, secure, or investigate a transaction.
  • Account managers, consultants, and specialists to the extent needed to provide a service the user requested.
  • Employers or opportunity providers only when the user directs or authorizes Jobpassin to publish, submit, or share relevant profile information, or where another lawful basis is clearly disclosed.
  • Authorities, courts, regulators, advisers, or counterparties where disclosure is legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, users, and the service.
  • A successor in a merger, restructuring, financing, acquisition, or transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice requirements.

8. Sale, sharing, and advertising

Jobpassin does not sell personal information for money and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. If this practice changes, we will update the notice before the change and provide every opt-out mechanism required by law, including recognition of qualifying browser-based signals.

9. International transfers

Jobpassin serves an international audience. Information may be processed in countries other than the user’s country. Where required, we will use an approved transfer mechanism and supplementary safeguards, and users may request information about the relevant mechanism.

10. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose disclosed, the life of an account or service, applicable limitation periods, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and legal, tax, or accounting duties. Retention considers data sensitivity, volume, context, risk, and whether the purpose can be achieved with less information. Data that is no longer required is deleted or irreversibly anonymised under the applicable retention schedule.

11. Security

We use risk-based administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system can be guaranteed completely secure. Users should use a unique password, protect account credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorised access to support@jobpassin.com.

12. Your choices and rights

Depending on location and applicable law, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or information about processing. California residents have the additional rights described in the California Privacy Notice. Requests may be sent to support@jobpassin.com and will be handled under our User Rights Policy.

13. Children

Jobpassin is intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer candidate services to children. If we learn that a child provided personal information contrary to this requirement, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

14. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy to reflect service, legal, or operational changes. A material change will be highlighted and, where required, notified before it takes effect. The version date appears at the top of this page.
